Ivan's interest in story telling started with his great grandmother sharing her real life stories with him before bed.  He was able to envision her words and conversely sparked a lifelong interest in storytelling.  

The only thing more powerful than learning from experience is learning from someone else's, that is why telling stories is an integral part of who we are.
Growing up in Montenegro, Ivan's access to foreign film was limited to television dubbed in Italian, in order to understand the only option was to learn to Italian, which he did. When the film “The Dark Side of the Sun” came to shoot in his hometown; Ivan was immediately drawn to the cameras, the people and the commotion, chasing that feeling ever since.

Working in film and television Ivan has traveled across the world for the past two decades only making the desire to share stories stronger.  He has worked as part of the directorial team for close to one hundred film and television productions, including  Films as: Deliver us From Evil, Annabelle, Gangster Squad, Priest, Zack and Miri, Observe and Report, Nightmare on Elm Street, Tenacious D, For Your Consideration, The Hoax, Secretary.  TV shows including: Southland, Dexter, Luck, Sons of Anarchy, Big Love, Crossing Jordan.
